Is Pixel Tune-up free?

Yes. The tools on this site are free to use in a modern desktop or mobile browser. No account is required for standard editing tools.

Are my images uploaded to your servers?

For almost all tools, no — processing stays in your browser. Read the File Privacy and Deletion Policy and the “About this tool” section on each tool page for exceptions (URL scanning and optional ML model downloads).

How do I convert PNG to JPG?

Open Image Converter, upload your PNG, choose JPEG as the output, set a background color if the PNG has transparency, then download. JPEG cannot store transparency.

How do I resize an image for the web?

Use Image Resizer with a max width that matches your layout (for example 1200px for blog heroes). Keep aspect ratio locked unless you intentionally need a crop. For many photos at once, use Bulk Image Resizer.

How do I create favicons for my website?

Open Favicon Generator, upload a square logo (or type a short mark), export the ZIP, and add the HTML snippet to your site’s head. Use Favicon Checker if an old icon still appears.

What file size can I use?

There is no server upload limit. Performance depends on your device. If a tab freezes, try a smaller image or close other apps.

Why does HEIC fail?

HEIC support varies by browser and OS. If your browser cannot decode HEIC, convert to JPEG on your phone first, then use Pixel Tune-up.

Will my favicon update immediately?

Often not — browsers cache favicons aggressively. Hard-refresh, try a private window, or change the file name / cache-busting query string.
